The mission of End Elder Fraud is to end cyber fraud in our senior community--a community that is uniquely vulnerable to the ever-evolving tactics of domestic and international scammers.
We achieve our goal by delivering fraud awareness training specifically designed for senior citizens. End Elder Fraud, a 501c3 nonprofit, is committed to reaching as many seniors as possible. All training is offered free of charge. We go to seniors in retirement communities, senior living homes/communities, assisted living centers, etc. We also offer public fraud awareness sessions where all ages are welcome.
End Elder Fraud is uniquely qualified to succeed in our mission based on a combination of experience and business strategy. Our Founder, Edward Nelson, has over 10 years in hands-on scam abatement. Those efforts include working with authorities and corporations to identify and take down scam sites.
Educated in Information Systems from the University of California, Berkeley, Ed has held leadership roles at Cisco Systems, GoPro, and OPKIX, where he was instrumental in building client engagement processes to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII). And with his boundless energy, Ed also created and ran several successful businesses.
Strategically, End Elder Fraud has established partnerships with the FTC, local law enforcement in Colorado and California to aid in information sharing and where possible the prosecution of scammers. Further, End Elder Fraud partners with leaders in online scam abatement such as Jim Browning.

* In-person training is a key differentiator of the End Elder Fraud program. We have found that this approach provides two specific benefits to our seniors. First, the “Town-hall” environment reinforces that scams amongst our elders are a community-wide problem that we all need to work together to combat. Second, while there are 100s of scam-related videos online, we’ve found that too many people seek out these videos AFTER they or a family member have been affected by a scam. Our proactive--go to where the seniors are--approach is far more effective in preventing scams through awareness.
End Elder Fraud is a 501c3 Organization. All donations are fully deductible. Federal Tax ID Number: 87-4001684
We believe that in person and live educations sessions are the best way to honor and protect our seniors. Take the first step! Contact us, and together, we will end the reign of scammers.
